1. Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette

I was in love with this before I even got it, the minute I heard about this I went and ordered it. I love everything about the contour palette, the highlight and contour shades are perfection in my eyes. I was so happy to find a palette with such pigmented colors, you really don’t have to try at all with this. I mostly use the highlight shade in lyric to highlight under my eyes.  For my contour I first use the color Sombre lightly then dip my brush into both Subconscious and Shadowplay to blend it out. I sometimes use the color Lucid to highlight under my eyes as well and to reverse contour.  I also use this on my eyes, I love a natural neutral eye for everyday makeup and this is great for that. I use the highlight shade Levitation on my lid and Shadowplay with a little Sombre in my crease. If you are looking for a great contour palette I definitely recommend this, it is great quality and long lasting.

2. Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector (Pressed) in Opal

I love a good highlight so this was another product that I was in love with before I even got my hands on it. I saw swatches of this and knew that I had to have it. This product is so pigmented and shimmery it is perfect for a highlight and it picks up so much light. If you love a more dramatic highlight then this product is for you. If you haven’t tried this yet head over to Sephora to try it out, this also comes in other shades.

3. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins

This has quickly become one of my favorites for many reasons. It is a night cream so it is very creamy but not heavy on the skin at all. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling so soft. Since we are having a long winter here in NYC I even use it sometimes as a moisturizer during the day since my skin has been kinda dry (which is rare), it is so hydrating I really love it. I have oily skin and this product works great for me I would recommend this product for all skin types.

4. MAC Powder Blush in Raizin

This is a holy grail item for me, I have been using it for years and still love it. This product is very pigmented, I just have to tap my brush on the color and thats all I need. What is great about this blush is its color, it can be used as just a blush on darker skin or as a blush and contour on lighter skin. This is a color that will last you a long time, I use this almost everyday and it has lasted me over 2 years. There is not even a dent in the product yet.

5. NYX Cosmetics Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette

I was excited to try this pencil because it looked like a possible dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (which I love). I wanted to get this pencil in the color Ash Brown but it was sold out online so I picked up Brunette. I was so surprised at how much I loved this pencil, the color was great and the product point is very fine so you can be precise when applying. I feel like this is a more affordable option to the Brow Wiz it is half the price. So if you have been thinking of trying this you definitely should.

6. Real Techniques 301 Flat Contour Brush

When I saw pictures of the Bold Metals Collection I ran over to Ulta to pick some up. I had been looking for a flat contour brush and when I saw this one I feel in love with the rose gold. The packaging of the brushes on this collection are so beautiful and the brushes are very soft and more densely packed then their regular brushes. This collection is more expensive then their other brushes but still affordable compared to most high end brushes.

7.  It Brushes for Ulta Live Beauty Fully Complexion Brush #225

I had been looking for a big fluffy brush to apply powder and bronzer. When I saw this brush it kind of reminded me of the Marc Jacobs Bronzer brush with out the hefty price tag. It is very soft and fluffy and I love the silver handle. I love this brush for apply bronzer and for blending my blush and contour out.

8. Lorac Pro Matte Lip Color in Mauve

These lip colors are great, I have a few colors and love all the ones I have especially Rose Brown. I found myself grabbing the Mauve more often this month so thats why I chose this color as my favorite. These are very long lasting and aren’t to drying on the lips in my opinion. If you like a very moisturizing or glossy finish these aren’t for you. But if you love a matte lip like me and want something that will last a long time then try these.

9. Real Techniques Setting Brush

There isn’t much to say about this brush other than it is great for setting your under eye concealer. It picks up product well, the bristles are soft and it is gentle on the under eye area. Which is important because you don’t want a harsh brush because your skin is more sensitive there. Thiis my go to brush for setting, it is super affordable and great quality.

10. Milani Powder Blush in 01 Romantic Rose

I picked this up on a whim and I am so glad I did. This blush is perfect for a nice natural looking cheek. I love using this for a “no makeup” makeup look, it adds just the right about of color to my cheeks. I really love this and I also want to try the color Tea Rose as well.

11. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun

I have heard so many good things about Give Me Sun so I decided to pick it up. At first glance I thought it would be light or the same color as my skin and not show up. But this has a slight orange color to it and gives me a nice sun kissed glow. I apply this to my temple area and my cheeks, the name “Give Me Sun” is perfect for this because that is exactly what it does.

12. Creme of Nature with Argan Oil Butter-Licicous Curls Curl Hydrating Buttercreme

I am currently on the hunt for the perfect products for my 3b/3c curly hair. If you have curly hair you know the struggle is real to find products that actually work on your hair. This product has a light texture it isn’t super thick and smells good. I like the way that is holds my curls without making then hard and it doesn’t flake either. I leaves my hair feeling soft and manageable, I will be trying some more products by them.
