Being that yesterday was National Coffee Day, I thought I’d do a coffee inspired DIY. I’ve always heard that coffee was great exfoliant and good for the skin. This very basic, stripped down recipe will leave you feeling fresh and your skin so soft!
Exfoliation of the skin removes residual dirt and dead skin to give you younger looking, fresh skin, able to absorb moisture more effectively. Caffeine stimulates blood flow in the area of skin to which you apply it. This helps to reduce the appearance of cellulite and varicose veins. Caffeine will also make the skin appear firmer and feel smoother.
My mom drinks coffee every morning so I had a fresh batch of coffee grounds to use. I love argan oil it does great things for skin and hair so I thought it be perfect to put in this body scrub. If you don’t have argan oil you can use another oils such as coconut oil or use them both.
You only need three simple ingredients to make this body scrub: (Use whatever measurements you like till it gets to a consistency you like)
You will also need:
Combine ingredients in a bowl, mix well, et voila! Apply to wet skin in the shower with a circular motion then rinse. And Remember, Scrubs shouldn’t hurt! I recommend making a small batch and trying it out on small part of your skin or hands to make sure it doesn’t irritate your skin.
Try it and enjoy : )
